MP3 vs WAV - MP3 is a compression of original audio CD tracks to about one tenth of their original size while delivering close to CD quality making them quick to download and supported by most software systems. Some browsers play MP3 downloads automatically making it difficult to find your downloaded file. For that reason we have "zipped" them into a .zip file format so that they can be easily saved to your chosen device. WAV format preserves quality by not compressing the original CD track. It can be time and space consuming to download - but runs on most browsers and any Windows or Mac system and assures you of CD quality audio.
